Who we are

Built by a contractor who got tired of waiting for machines

Mako Machine Rentals was set up in 2025 by the team behind Hammerhead Construction to keep their own jobs moving: a 19,000 sq. ft. department store, hotel facades, beachfront roofs. The fleet earned its keep on those sites first. Now it is available to other contractors, developers and homeowners across New Providence.

Machines are serviced in our own yard on Madeira Street by the people who run them every week. When something breaks, we know how to fix it, and we have a second unit for the machines you cannot afford to be without.

Rental questions

How are machines priced?

By the day, week or four-week period, whichever works out cheaper for the hire you describe. Delivery and collection are charged per machine, per trip. Call for a rate sheet.

Do you deliver?

Yes, with our own flatbeds, anywhere on New Providence. Family Island deliveries go by barge and are quoted job by job.

Do I need an operator?

Lifts and the roller are rented bare to anyone with the right experience. We can supply an operator for the excavator, backhoe, telehandler and skid steers by the day.

What about fuel and damage?

Machines go out full and come back full, or we fuel them and bill it. The renter is responsible for the machine while it is on site; a damage waiver is available on the rental agreement.

What do I need to rent?

A government ID, a business licence if renting as a company, and a deposit. Repeat commercial customers can run an account.
